Stupid Just Got Stupider.

24 May 2005 LIGHT-SABRE DUEL PUTS TWO IN HOSPITAL TWO Star Wars fans are in a critical condition in hospital after duelling with lightsabres made by filling fluorescent light tubes with petrol. The pair - a man aged 20 and a girl of 17 - are believed to have been filming a mock fight when one of the devices exploded in woodland on Sunday. They were rushed to West Herts Hospital before being transferred to the specialist burns unit at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, in Essex. Police say a third person present at the incident was questioned
Wait folks breathe... all of you black mothers and grandmothers. Hands off the belt (I know instinct is hard to overcome). I would call shenanigans, but I feel too sorry for them. Who the hell plays with gasoline-filled tubes of glass IN THE WOODS? (Who knew the short bus was rentable?) When did these kids' parents decide to skip the FIRE=HOT=BURNED speech? Folks, cavemen knew how to handle fire-- why don't these kids know how to? And here is where you are going to lose you mind: Someone came up with this idea, wrote it down, and convinced their friends IT WAS A GOOD IDEA.

Now for the real horror. The article says that the pair is a couple. That means that when they heal up they could propagate. If this lack of sense gets passed on, I strongly doubt that their kid will make
it past 4.
One more thought, there is a video of this stupidity out there. Ten buck says it makes it the the net in under 6 months.
